HELLO! I’m Genny.

I write immersive historical fiction with a great appreciation for prefixes. Especially the prefix pre. As in, I’m a prepublished YA author. That’s a glass half full way of saying I’m not published … yet.

Yet is such a hopeful word! 

When I’m not writing, I’m hiking in breathtaking Taos, New Mexico, where I live. Or I’m reading. Or spending time with friends and family. Or talking to my plants. I didn’t inherit my mom’s green thumb, but I have very happy houseplants.

I also have some very happy characters. But most of them are flawed, anxious individuals who stand in their own way until transformation eventually triumphs. The stories are set in the past, but as we know, the emotional truth of humanity is timeless.
